Dangers are everywhere • Achille Beltrame

Dangers lurk behind every corner and there´s little chance that we will survive the next day. If you have any doubt in the truth of such statement you most likely missed the work of Achille Beltrame. Achille Beltrame (Arzignano, Vicenza 1871 - Milan 1945) was the most famous and celebrated illustrator in Italy in the first half of the 20th Century. Beltrame edited most of the cover pages of the magazine 'La Domenica del Corriere', published by the Milanese newspaper 'Il Corriere della Sera', from its foundation in 1899 until 1945. The world he created week by week is a world where nature is mans best fiend and every vehicle ever created is build to derail. And if you, by pure chance, survived the hurricanes, snowstorms and fireblasts, there´s no reason to feel safe. Most likely you will be eaten by a tiger or trampled down by a dromedary in a dancehall.
