Todd Hido manages to give the houses in his larg scale outdoor shots a creepy, yet poetic touch of haunted houses. Cursed places, the lit windows suggest that someone lives in there but you may like not to ask who. Anonymity is a continuous theme in Hido´s work, even in his portraits.
As Luc Sante puts it "In these pictures it is forever midnight and you are forever stranded and chilled"
